The Democrats are back!

There were many more Republicans at our lunch table yesterday (April 15, Tax Day). The searing pain in the check writing hand drove most people to the right. But today, as the pain has subsided, the Democrats are back! :)

NYT had an op-ed yesterday advising Democrats to stop calling them 'taxes'. Call them 'dues' instead.

Taxes are the money that governments unjustly grab from hard-working wage earners.

Due are the contribution we make to help fund an efficient, well-functioning society.
