The Hoover Dam is one of the The Modern Wonders of the World. It is a wonder.
Apparently we have been in a 7 year drought and Lake Mead is at it's third lowest level ever. The view of the dam from the lake side was amazing.
The drive to the Grand Canyon was punctuated with a violent thunderstorm. We saw powerful bolts of lighting and hear booming thunder.
